Shelter Diary

Our shelter is located in Rehovot, Israel, and takes care of dogs and cats of different ages, young and old. Most of them were rescued from the street from a life-threatening situation, some were taken to avoid euthanasia. Some of them are friendly, healthy and ready for adoption. You can get to know them on our site and of course in the shelter.

We are a no-kill shelter. For that reason the shelter is overcrowded and we do not accept animals, whether they were found on the street or come from home. Unfortunately, the situation with homeless animals in Israel is such that when you found an animal in need the best chances are that you are his or her best option to get help. Even if you were not prepared for it.

The volunteers at the shelter are working very hard to provide our sweet dogs and cats with the best care possible. They give their furry friends the best food, make sure there is always fresh water available, provide medical care for those who need it, and give them love.

Some of the dogs and cats in the shelter are friendly, healthy and ready for adoption. We are looking for families that consider animals to be members of the family. In happy times and in hard times. Member of the family that will never grow up, will always be dependent, will become ill once in a while, will misbehave sometimes.

If you are considering adoption of a dog or a cat and can get to Rehovot you are welcome to visit our shelter. More information about the adoption process can be found here. We are happy for everyone who found a loving home.

We are doing our best to try and find homes to all of them. It is not easy to find a good home for a young, and healthy cat or dog, and it almost impossible to find a home for those who are not, those who need special food, and extra care. Our shelter is a no-kill shelter which means that those who don’t get adopted will stay here with our family forever.
